Advanced Survival Course

Wilderness skills

 Step away from society and rediscover yourself through classroom instruction and realistic fieldcraft training.  Training level ranges from novice to advanced and everything in-between. 

Course dates are updated regularly. Payment secures admittance into the course. Reserve your slot and we will reach out to coordinate your experience. In addition to the courses listed below, we offer fully customizable training experiences to fit your specific needs at an additional cost. 

Advanced Survival Course 
3 days / 2 nights

Building on the foundational skills learned during the Bushcraft & Survival Course, the Advanced Survival Course takes training to the next level. The course begins with a brief overview of the Sojourner Wilderness Skills and includes the introduction of additional survival skills. Once prepared, students will be inserted into a simulated survival environment where their abilities will be put to the test. 

    Course Contents:

  • Studies listed in the Bushcraft & Survival Course

  • Map reading and land navigation

  • Route marking systems - How to avoid getting lost

  • Camp selection 

  • Survival test and scenario with limited supplies

    Required Items:

  • Seasonal Packing List (emailed to students after receipt of payment)

  • Signed Release of Liability Form (original copy)

  • Student Data Sheet (document is provided upon arrival)

    Amplifying Information:

This course is physically and emotionally demanding and can include hiking with a 50 +/- pound pack, being a passenger on watercraft and/or all-terrain vehicles, sleeping in a tent or shelter, processing firewood, conducting survival and camp-related activities, and treating and drinking water that is procured from nature. Full participation in the training is encouraged for students. Training modifications are available, through prior coordination, for students with medical conditions. It is our goal to accommodate anyone who desires to attend training. Please, feel free to contact us with any further questions.

Bushcraft and Survival school training scenarios are comprised of multi day, practical application of the individual training areas listed above. This is where survival skills are put to the test in a controlled environment. While there is inherent danger in any survival situation, participants will be closely monitored and assisted when necessary. Skilled advisors are made available to assist throughout the journey.
